Sterling has dropped again! This news will come as no great surprise to most given the country's difficulties, but it will hurt those Buyers of French property who have not already fixed their exchange rate with a currency dealer.
All who are in the process of buying a property in France are advised to order your currency from a currency dealer.  Prices in France are most interesting now after a quiet year, but any gain you may make on the house price could be more than wiped out by a fall in the pound, unless you have already fixed your rate.
Speculators are shifting their attentions towards the euro, and the expectation that the European Central Bank may raise interest rates. This has led the euro to strengthen across the board against most major currencies, in particular against USD and GBP.
Experts now forecast that British interest rates will not increase significantly and that house prices have peaked.
