A move to France should not affect the provision or rate of a state pension. It depends on the current costs of living in France and currency fluctuations.
If a pension is paid in France but sourced from the UK it is index-linked and will be updated in line with levels in the UK.

Your pension can be paid into a UK bank account or a French bank account – you might like to make this decision based on the time periods you wish to spend in France. You will need to complete form E121 issued by the DSS from the above contact details.
